Hi everyone. Im translating this game (PSP version). But one thing I cant deal. That is pmf videos, the subtitles of pmf videos is a part of videos, not texts (hard sub, maybe). I dont know how to edit these subtitles.

I know you guys translated this game PSP version through these web:

Is there someone from that team here? Or anyone here knows about this problem? I need your help about pmf videos. Please teach me, your help would be very appreciated. Thank you.
Hello there! :)
I was the one who translated the movies. A lot of time has passed, though, but I do remember, more or less, what I used.
Once there was a complete guide on how to edit PMF movies on Brisma's blog, but the site is not online anymore. It's a very long process though.
I found on Google a guide which explains how to convert from PMF to AVI: here. (http://forums.dashhacks.com/psp-xmb-sounds-pmfs/159985-convert-pmf-avi.html)
I found another useful guide to convert back to PMF: here. (http://forums.dashhacks.com/psp-xmb-sounds-pmfs/140043-alternative-custom-gameboot-tutorial.html)
Don't worry if the guide says that it's for changing the boot video of the PSP. It should work as well with FFT movies.
Hope it helps, I wish Brisma's guide was still online, because it was entirely focused on FFT videos.
OK thanks for responding but please clear this to me: Your aim is convert PMF to AVI, then edit AVI, then convert back AVI to PMF, right?
Can I ask: How do you edit subtitles of AVI?
An .avi doesn't contains subtitles "strings", he probably just edited the video itself
I know. But how?

As a remark, you don't need a PSP to convert the ATRAC3 audio stream anymore.
You can use PMFAudioDumper and ffmpeg as follows:
1. dump the audio stream "PMFAudioDumper video.pmf"
2. convert the audio stream to wav: "ffmpeg -i file.oma file.wav"

I know. But how?
It's not that hard for simple subtitles.
I created the new subs with Aegis SUB and then I applied them on the movies through the program VirtualDub.
Of course, before inserting them I had to erase the original ones, but it's very simple (there is a tool in the program that applies a black box to the video).
